What credentials are required to join the inspector network?
Florida requires wind mitigation inspectors to hold one of several qualifying credentials — licensed general contractors, building code inspectors, home inspectors, architects, or engineers among them. Full credential requirements and the vetting process will be detailed during your partner onboarding follow-up.
Do I need to use a specific report format or software?
SaferHome.ai's platform is built around the OIR-B1-1802 Rev. 04/26 form. Documentation, photo upload, and report submission all flow through our app — you won't need separate report-writing software for SaferHome.ai-dispatched jobs. We'll walk you through the workflow during onboarding.
Am I responsible for submitting the OIR report to the homeowner's insurer?
No. SaferHome.ai packages the completed OIR-B1-1802 into the homeowner's Fortification Report. The homeowner then presents that documentation directly to their insurance carrier. SaferHome.ai does not communicate with or submit documentation to insurers on anyone's behalf — that relationship belongs to the homeowner.
How is inspector compensation handled?
Compensation structure details will be provided during partner onboarding. Early network registrants will work directly with our team to define the model. Register now to have a voice in how the program is structured for founding inspector partners.
Can I also do general home inspections through the platform?
SaferHome.ai's current inspection workflow is focused on wind mitigation and OIR-B1-1802 documentation as the core compliance deliverable. If you hold additional credentials that are relevant to our Fortification assessment scope, note them in your registration and we'll factor that into your partner profile.
